1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding roommate.exe to any Discord server, you ("the User", "the Admin", "the one who did this") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Acceptance is implied by the act of invitation. You invited it. It lives here now.

These Terms apply to all users who interact with the Bot in any server where it has been installed, including users who did not personally invite the Bot and were subjected to it through no fault of their own.

2. Description of Service

roommate.exe is an entertainment Discord bot that provides the following modules:

• The Confidant (k_bot): A feature that responds to @mentions and replies with dramatic delay followed by the response "k", or in escalated cases, "K."
• The IT Dept (Placebo): A feature that generates fake but professionally formatted IT support tickets in response to user complaints.
• The Math Warden (Counting Game): A moderated counting channel with automated streak tracking, violation detection, and cinematic failure announcements.
• The Squatter (Cockroach): A voice channel feature that joins solo users, delivers a roast via text-to-speech, and departs when company arrives.

The Bot is provided strictly as an entertainment service. It provides no guarantees of quality, helpfulness, emotional support, or utility of any kind. This is, in fact, the point.

3. User Responsibilities

Server Administrators who invite the Bot accept the following responsibilities:

• Configuring the Bot appropriately for their server community via the /setup command
• Designating appropriate redzone (excluded) channels where the Bot's behavior is not suitable
• Informing server members that the Bot is present and active
• Ensuring the Bot's behavior complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Removing the Bot if its presence creates a hostile environment beyond the intended entertainment scope

All Users who interact with the Bot agree to:

• Use the Bot within the bounds of Discord's Terms of Service
• Not attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or weaponize the Bot against other users in harmful ways
• Accept that the Bot's roasts, replies, and automated behaviors are entertainment features and not personal attacks
• Not use the /contact feature to submit abusive content toward the developer

4. Content Policy

The Bot generates automated content — including but not limited to roast lines, IT ticket text, counting violation announcements, and voice lines — for entertainment purposes. This content is satirical in nature.

By using servers where the Bot is installed, all users acknowledge and accept that:

• The Bot may address them directly with sarcastic, dismissive, or comedic content
• This content is generated automatically and is not targeted maliciously at any individual
• The Bot's responses do not reflect the views of the developer on any individual user
• Roasts delivered in voice channels are scripted or admin-configured entertainment, not personal commentary

The Bot will not generate content that:

• Targets users based on protected characteristics
• Violates Discord's Community Guidelines
• Constitutes harassment beyond its programmed satirical scope

Server Administrators are responsible for configuring custom roast lines that comply with these standards.

5. Disclaimer of Liability — Emotional Damage

The developer of roommate.exe shall not be held liable for any emotional, psychological, or existential harm resulting from interaction with the Bot, including but not limited to:

• The devastation of receiving "k" after a heartfelt message
• The humiliation of breaking a 4,000-count streak in a public channel
• The existential discomfort of being alone in a voice channel with a bot that judges you
• The profound uselessness of receiving an IT ticket for being tired
• Any feelings of being watched, monitored, or silently assessed

The Bot is satire. You invited it. We are genuinely sorry, but also not at all.

6. Data Collection

The Bot collects certain data to function. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a complete description of what data is collected, how it is used, and how long it is retained.

By using the Bot, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Uptime and Availability

The Bot is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. The developer makes no guarantees regarding:

• Continuous, uninterrupted availability
• Accuracy or consistency of automated responses
• Timely resolution of bugs or errors

The Bot may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or because the developer had a long week. No notice is required. This is, in fact, very on-brand for the product.

8. Termination of Service

The developer reserves the right to:

• Remove the Bot from any server at any time, for any reason
• Terminate access for servers or users that violate these Terms or Discord's Terms of Service
• Discontinue the Bot service entirely, with or without notice

Server Administrators may remove the Bot from their server at any time by kicking it. The Bot will leave. It will not say goodbye. It will not be hurt. It will simply be gone, in the same quiet way it was always there.

9. Modifications to Terms

The developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

Bug reports and feature requests may be submitted through the Bot's /contact command. Complaints about the Bot's personality should be submitted nowhere, because that is the feature.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction of the developer, without regard to conflict of law provisions. The Bot, being a digital entity, does not acknowledge jurisdiction of any kind, but the developer does.
